SUGGESTED ITINERARY:
Day One -
Anchorage Transfer from Whittier to
Anchorage,
a vibrant, eclectic metropolis
with a frontier sprit, located in the heart of great Alaska
wilderness. Embraced by six mountain ranges and warmed by a
maritime climate, Anchorage is alive year round with culture,
adventure, recreation, wildlife and sightseeing opportunities –
making it the ideal base camp for Alaska adventures. Lodging
is at one of Anchorage's best hotels, inns or B&B's.

Day Two - Denali
Take to the rails and head
for
Denali National Park, home to
Mt. McKinley (North America's highest mountain). The afternoon
will be yours for discovery--you may want to take a whitewater
rafting trip, enjoy horseback riding, tour the backcountry via ATV,
experience golf under the midnight sun, or simply relax. Spend the next two nights at one of the area's fine lodges.

Day Three - Denali
Today, venture into the park
on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. This is perfect for those
wanting the opportunity to learn more about the ecology, landscapes
and wilderness that is Denali. With the help of a Certified
Interpretive Guide, look for wildlife on this 54 mile journey to the
turnaround point. If weather permits, travel 8 miles further to
Stony Overlook for a look at the full 18,500ft vertical rise of “The
Great One” – Denali, the crown jewel of the Alaska Range.
Day Four
- Fairbanks
Fairbanks' small-town hospitality and
pioneer spirit will make your stay one to remember, with amenities
and adventures in a style that is authentically Alaskan.
Lodging is at one of Fairbanks'
finest hotels.

Day
Five - Barrow & The Arctic
This is an adventure of a lifetime to the Far North
you'll never forget! You'll be thrilled to cross the Arctic Circle
and experience the Native culture rich in ancient dances, rituals,
and craftsmanship. Fly north across the Arctic Circle to the ancient
Inupiat Eskimo village of Barrow. Discover firsthand the lifestyles
of Alaska's Arctic Coastal peoples with a tour of the village. Meet
the Inupiat Eskimo people while enjoying a cultural program
featuring ceremonial song and dance, traditional games, and
demonstration of local crafts. Walk the shores of the Arctic Ocean
near the northernmost point on the North American Continent. Bravely
dip your toe in the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean. Lodging
is at a comfortable Barrow hotel.
Day Six - Return to Fairbanks
Day Seven
- Depart for Home
