Day 1 -
Arrive Fairbanks
Fairbanks' small-town hospitality and
pioneer spirit will make your stay one to remember, with amenities
and adventures in a style that is authentically Alaskan.
Lodging is at one of Fairbanks'
finest hotels.
Day
2 - Chena Hot Springs
You'll bee picked up for the ride to Chena Hot Springs, a
relaxing and wonderful resort where the Aurora Borealis viewing is
great. Relax in the healing waters, either indoors or outdoors.
Visit the Ice Museum, or try snowshoeing or cross country skiing
(all optional). Enjoy a nighttime journey via snow cat to a prime
viewing location (included).
Day 3 - Dog
Sledding Camp
You’ll be picked up and transferred to the Dog Sledding Camp.
Experience mushing school and a brief session on winter survival
skills and winter camping. Stay at a local B&B or a hotel in
Fairbanks.
Day
4 - Day Two of Dog
Camp
Set out on you mushing adventure and travel 20-30 miles by Dog
Team into your chosen site (warm winter camping under the Northern
Lights or a cozy cabin with all the amenities).
Day 5 -
Day Three of Dog Camp
Return trip by Dog Team. Return to your Fairbanks area hotel.
Day
6 - Winterlake Lodge
Fly from Fairbanks to Anchorage; transfer to another plane for
the flight to Winterlake Lodge, 198 trail miles northwest of
Anchorage along Alaska's historic Iditarod Trail. The lodge sits
on 15 acres overlooking Winter Lake, a finger-shaped 2-mile lake
where we land by floatplane in the summer and skiplane in the
winter. Winterlake offers seclusion and spectacular scenery.
Views of the Trimble Glacier and the beginnings of the Rainy Pass
are visible from the lake. Behind the lodge, Wolverine Mountain
offers intriguing hiking and wildlife viewing. We have many
species of Alaska birds, wildflowers and berries that are
difficult to see in other locales. Your stay here includes
lodging and all meals for a 24 hr. period. Optional activities
are available.
Day 7 - Anchorage
Anchorage is
a vibrant, eclectic metropolis
with a frontier sprit, located in the heart of great Alaska
wilderness. Embraced by six mountain ranges and warmed by a
maritime climate, Anchorage is alive year round with culture,
adventure, recreation, wildlife and sightseeing opportunities –
making it the ideal base camp for Alaska adventures. Lodging
is at one of Anchorage's best hotels, inns or B&B's.
Day
8 - Arctic Circle Adventure

Receive an official Arctic Circle
Certificate.

Greeted by your guide upon
arrival in Barrow. Enjoy an orientation and time to explore on
your own.

Get a firsthand glimpse of the
lifestyle of Alaska's Arctic Coastal people with a tour of the
village. Pass through a traditional hunting camp, visit a
historic whaling safety station, and walk the frozen shores of
the Arctic Ocean near the northernmost point in North America.
You may even see Polar Bears

Relax at the comfortable
accommodations of the Top of the World Hotel. Enjoy leisure time
to dine and shop in the village. When conditions allow, scan the
northern skies for the northern lights.

Depart Barrow the following day
on a mid-morning return flight to Fairbanks or Anchorage.
