Day 6 - Winterlake Lodge
Fly from Fairbanks to Anchorage; transfer to another plane for the flight to Winterlake Lodge, 198 trail miles northwest of Anchorage along Alaska's historic Iditarod Trail. The lodge sits on 15 acres overlooking Winter Lake, a finger-shaped 2-mile lake where we land by floatplane in the summer and skiplane in the winter.  Winterlake offers seclusion and spectacular scenery. Views of the Trimble Glacier and the beginnings of the Rainy Pass are visible from the lake. Behind the lodge, Wolverine Mountain offers intriguing hiking and wildlife viewing. We have many species of Alaska birds, wildflowers and berries that are difficult to see in other locales.   Your stay here includes lodging and all meals for a 24 hr. period.  Optional activities are available.

Day 7 - Anchorage
Anchorage is a vibrant, eclectic metropolis with a frontier sprit, located in the heart of great Alaska wilderness.  Embraced by six mountain ranges and warmed by a maritime climate, Anchorage is alive year round with culture, adventure, recreation, wildlife and sightseeing opportunities – making it the ideal base camp for Alaska adventures.  Lodging is at one of Anchorage's best hotels, inns or B&B's.
